I have always been fascinated by people’s stories. Working as a journalist for many years, it was the one-to-one encounters with people who told me their stories that I loved the most about the work.
Therapy changed the way I look at life – it helped me to understand my own story, to live the life I want to lead and to be the person I want to be – and it inspired me to train as a therapist too. I hope that your work with me will also help you to understand your own story and to be your true self.
How I work
I have a post graduate diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Leeds Beckett University and am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
I work relationally, integrating different theories into my practice and turning to those different approaches as I feel is appropriate to each client. This means that I work in a bespoke and personalised way with each individual client.
I have regular supervision with a registered supervisor. Having supervision is a professional requirement and ensures that I work correctly and ethically.
