What you’ll experience
Our work together is a collaboration. When we meet, whether that is in person or online, you will be met with warmth and open mindedness. You may have goals for our work together or you might want to see what therapy brings up for you. I will listen to you and make observations; I won’t judge you or tell you what to do. As our work together develops, I may ask questions or offer challenges, making sure that these are safe and appropriate to our work at all times. As you may expect, therapy brings up different emotions that may surprise you – that’s a wonderful part of the journey. If we reach a place that is difficult or painful, I have the professional experience to make sure that we can contain that safely and work with those emotions to find out where they come from. There may be tears and laughter and sometimes you might even feel that you have nothing to say. That’s part of the work too, and I promise you that as long as you are open to learning about yourself and growing through therapy, then you will.
Please get in touch to find out whether I am the right therapist for you and whether we feel that we can work together.
