I have worked extensively with people who have been bereaved, including several years as a bereavement counsellor at St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds. I understand the various models of grief and through therapy I engage safely with people to allow them to process their grief and find their own ways to express it and live through it.
Grief may be the loss of a significant person in your life or it could be the loss of a relationship, a job, a pet, a friendship or even a way of life, through divorce or a change of circumstances such as moving to another country. Your grief may be recent or it may have originated many years ago and for a number of reasons you may not have been able to work through it yet. I understand that loss can make you look at your life in a different way and it can be frightening and difficult to understand the changes that this creates in you.
I can help you to find new perspectives on the losses in your life and I hope to be able to assist you in finding peace in whatever situation is troubling you.
